Hi there! My name is Brian Gracey. I am a 34-year-old Scottish developer with a reasonable eye for design. Although I am quite partial to lectures on astrophysics, philosophical debates or even making my guitar wish it had a new owner —my passion is code!
Possessing over a decade of experience across a range of sectors over the web and mobile interfaces, there's not a lot of challenges that I haven't already dealt with in one form or another. Solving problems is what I love the most about what I do. I get to win hundreds of times every day!
While I do love the variety of technologies and challenges that come while working freelance, I am at my best when working with a group of robust dynamic people who are as passionate as they are motivated. Ideally, such an environment would optimize the productiveness of the dedication of time; especially when it comes to the creation of new and amazing projects that are focused around a unique set of technology. Intrinsically possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of the most popular as well as the sometimes, obscure technologies and frameworks in many projects will remain something I enjoy. However, now it has become abundantly clear it is time to pinpoint my focus and take a smaller skill set to an expert level, while continuing to push personal progression in the team environment.
Currently I am not open to taking on new web and software development projects. I have a specific preference to projects structured around a solid system of organization that put an emphasis on efficient and effective communication among all involved. I am comfortable working remotely. Admittedly, I prioritize established companies located close to my current location, I am optimistic and open-minded when discussing any new or varying ventures. Relocation offers will be considered for anywhere located in the UK. Visa sponsorship will be discussed for positions located in the USA, preferably if the position is both beneficial and progressive with the possibility of advancement as a long-term career opportunity.
